Write up report & journal for the month P.M. calm foggy NE. Sunday June 1, 1873 Morning very clear & fine wind light NE with some fog rolling in. Go ashore & get a series of observations for astronomical azimuth between the astronomical station and the church. P.M. [clerical?] work & reading. Monday June 2nd Start at 10 A.M. with Bailey Noyes & three men for the Igognak or Eider village side with the large boat where we propose to erect a signal to form part of the Bay [?] arrive about 1 P.M. Day very fine & clear & warm. Go up on the bluff & erect the signal then return and get our tea pitch our tent and turn in about 10 P.M.
