A few tons of coal taken out (specimen bag No. 115.) about 3 years previous to our visit now reduced by slacking to small flakes. Appears to have been a small pocket soon exhausted. Seam in friable sandstones and soft shales dipping about 30° NW. only a short distance from the water's edge.
