Dubusia or the [[[underlined]] cyanocephala [[/underlined]] after the first flock disappeared this morning. This would suggest that the flock went relatively far away and [[underlined]] kept together. [[/underlined]]

Popayan

Going to work near the city tomorrow. By the usual small stream. Arrive 5:35 am. Still completely dark. Heavy cloud.

Some miscellaneous bird sounds 5:50 am. Flycatcher Song etc. Then everything quiet by 6:05 am.

See some squirrel (species unidentified) in tall tree. Silent and definitely alone.

6:32. See single juv. [[male gender symbol]] [[underlined]] Ramphocelus [[/underlined]] 15 ft up in tree. Alone.
Then see a couple of squirrels in adjacent tree. Apparently the usual species frequently seen at higher altitudes. Bird and squirrels apparently not reacting to one another. This place certainly seems to have been [[underlined]] invaded [[/underlined]] by squirrels now! Why?

6:40. Now there seem to be several juv. [[male gender symbol]] [[underlined]] Ramphocelus [[/underlined]] around. Noisy. But alone.

There also are flocks of Elaenias around (as usual).

Leaving 7:40 am
