Group moving thru very mixed scrub, including some very young, some bamboo, and some fairly mature second growth Also "passes by" some mature USF trees at one point. At first group is moving along both sides of road; then the birds of one side cross over and join the others. Group as a whole [[underlined]] quite [[/underlined]] coherent. Birds quite close together. And moving steadily in one direction. But generally [[underlined]] quiet [[/underlined]]. Only "CN's. When group was partly divided, by road, [[underline]] the White beards definitely were the leaders on one side. [[/underline]] [[left margin in red]] Cy Inter [[/margin]] Cy f [[arrow pointing right]] White beards repeatedly. Juters f [[arrow pointing right]] White beards repeatedly. Yellowbellies f [[arrow pointing right]] Whitebeards repeatedly!!! Leadership on the other side was more difficult to observe. [[underline]] Probably [[/underline]] provided by PL's and White-spectacled in alternation. Most of the birds spent all of their time in scrub. Ranging 1 - 6 ft up But the White spectacled, Whitebeards, and the [[underline]]luteovirides-[[/underline]] type also made "side visits" to the USF trees. White-spectailed going up to 30 - 35 ft. up. The other 2 species up to 20 - 25 ft up. [[left margin in red]] Cy [[/margin]] Cy was seen only [[underline]] very [[/underline]] low, 6" - 3' up!
