Aug 4/30  Caught largest trout yet seen 3 1/2 lbs - Aug 6 still larger (5 lbs) with 20 others of ordinary size  [[encircled]] 460 [[/encircled]]

It was arranged that 2 watches of the men should walk on shore in the forenoon for exercise & too in the afternoon   I need not say that this has been held one of the precautions of scurvy.
