At XI-40 (Chro) or about that time one of the Innuits sighted the tupiks.  This impelled them to strong pulls.  What a masculine power has Susy (Koo-oo-le-arny)!  A fact that her oar not only kept her side good without the steering oar to help her, but I was obliged every few minutes to sweep the steering oar to help us [[underlined]] three [[/underlined]] keep our side good with hers!  She is as strong as any man in the States I ever met.  I have often noticed the heavy loads she will shoulder & carry.  I know now that she can pull on an oar equal to the powers of 2 strong pulling Innuit women & myself!  arriving here at VII-50 P.M. we were met by [[?Annuurping]] & noo-li-an-a Jack & his - & Koo-per-neu-ung, the latter of my crew, who had just arrived where all the others of the other Boat were across the harbor on one of the Islands.

Koo-per-neu-ung has added one Took-too to the number he has already killed.  This makes in all full 30 Rein-deer killed since about an average of just one a day since leaving G. Henry.

The nights are getting cold - last night ice formed 1/2 inch think on the fresh water [[?pools]] about.
I am better this Morning, tho' unfit to be about.  I am trying my best for an early recovery, for I need good health to prosecute effectively the work on my hands yet to be done.
