information as well as several others I could name.
The 2 Boat Companies that came down from Budington Bay yesterday & arrived to-day, killed 2 Walrus yesterday near Sing-eye-yer. One secured by harpooning the other by a gun shot. Walrus beef for dinner to-day was the result. It went well. Took-too was also brought along by these parties on wh. we have feasts. Capt. B. traded with Bob for a fine, large Polar Bear skin. Yesterday [[strikethrough]] or rather Saturday [[/strikethrough]] Capt B. bought of Miner the wolf skin wh. he obtained on the other side Frobisher Bay near the head. It measures near 6 feet tip of tail to nose tip. The Sealers went out in Ki-as to-day & shot several Seals.
It takes much of this sort of provision to keep good the stomachs of the City of Innuits now here. From deck the sight at night is cheering, the lights (wh. are city-like) of the numerous tupiks ashore.
To-night Capt B. in his night garb went on deck (it was late, dark & windy). He spoke to the "Watch" (Morgan on Watch) saying 'Morgan'! proper answer being made, Capt B continued 'Somehow Morgan, you seem to to a very [[underlined]] unlucky [[/underlined]] fellow? - 'Un-lucky? You call [[underlined]] me unlucky? [[/underlined]] You most [[underlined]] lucky fellow that ever lived. Lucky that I wasn't living long ago! [[/underlined]] (All in all, a rich one.)

This Morning Shev-ek-koo & his noo-loo-an-a, Oo-shoo-tar-ping with their two children came aboard. Chev-ek-koo & wife are middle aged Innuits, robust & very enterprising - [[underlined]] smart! [[/underlined]] Both have often seen Iron ("Heavy Stone"), Brick & Coal at the several places I have visited in "Countess of Warwick's Sound". Saw "Heavy Stone" at Kuf-se-geer-ark-ju-in on Kod-lu-narn - Brick Mik-Ki-oo-Koo-loo (small pieces) on Kod-lu-narn; Coal at Ek-e-lu-zhun & Ni-oun-te-lik amarnadlo (a good deal of it) & flint-stones among the Coal which the Innuits use to make [[?Ik-ku-raw]] (fire). Have seen where Kod-lu-narns built a ship - where they dug [[underlined]] trenches [[/underlined]] in the stones, Muk-ko (two) trenches.
