Now, therefore, be it known, that I Franklin Pierce, President of the United States of America, do, in pursuance of the advice and consent of the Senate, as expressed in their resolution of the seventeenth of April, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, accept, ratify, and confirm the said treaty as amended.

In testimony thereof, I have caused the seal of the United States to be hereunto affixed, having signed the same with my hand.
Done at the City of Washington, this twenty-first day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-four, and of the independence of the Unites States the seventy-eighth.
