Very gregarious on horse briar ([[underline]] Smilax rotundifolia [[/underline]]) Woods Hole, Mass. Aug 11, 1893 Hd slightly bilobed, broad, rounded gradient shiny black with a few hairs. [[superscript]] (Sh hd 1.45) [[/superscript]] w 1.4 mm And [[scencely?]] cylindrical, wider than high sub truncate at the extremities, thick minute black [[filiform?]] dots, somewhat noctuiform, normal [[circled]] 1 [[/circled]] amt. remote from [[circled]] 2 [[/circled]], [[circled]] 3 [[/circled]] lax., [[circled]] 4 [[/circled]] [[steg?]]. first, [[circled]] 5 [[/circled]] [[ant?]] [[circled]] 6 [[/circled]] post -S-V. feet normal, tho black, and with outer blackish plates & black claspers  Body not shiny, white above spiracle with d, s-d, but a super [[sty?]] lines  narrow, black, & between them 2 other vert d. a super lat. of [[obsiceon?]] gray, all separated by white, S-V & ventrally light yellow with S-S and S-V orange bands.  The ends
