Cases vary with material but the stuff is all laid on crosswise. A little case 20 mm. long is comprised of wooly silk covered on the outside with pieces of leaves laid on flat-ways. A case 80 mm long is similar , but the pieces of leaves are supplmented by white sticks laid on crosswise. The ends are wholly of silk. Width 12 mm 
Another case only 65 mm long contains a larva with hd 5.0 mm is much thicker especially ant. It is made of large sticks about 10mm long put on crosswise with much fluffy brown silk almost like [[?]]. Its shape is almost [[image - triangle]]. Width at head end 20 mm at middle 13 mm.

Oiketicus townsendi Riley [[N.S.?]] sent by T.D.A. Cockerell, Las Cruces, N.M.
Hd sordid white with elongate black spot exactly as in 423. Labrum & bases of [[anterior?]] white. W. 5 mm+. A large white c-sh on 2 reaching below spiracles with s-d & lat. irregular black bands. On 3 a similar narrower plate, not very [[?]]. No distinct plates on 4 but some white s-d marks in a s-d & lateral patch like the spots on 3 to white the white is reduced, but without the dorsal mark Tho feet large black, Body black, on abd. brown black, faintly marked with pale on the [[?]] of the superstig & 2 s-v ridges. Spiracles round, brown black.
