July 4 1894 Rounded with flat base, somewhat flattened 2/3 spherical. Diam 1 mm height .6 mm. slightly shiny. fine sky blue. [[insertion]] = turquoise blue [[/insertion]] slightly greenish. Reticulation [[/blue strikethrough]] [[neat?]] but rounded, scarcely angular becoming small and indistinct at micropyle region. On the sides the reticulating edges of the cells become broad, flat almost like bands reducing the depression to shallow pits [[underlined]] Larva [[/underlined]] hatches and eats upper side of leaf a little near egg the [[rest?]] out at the apex of leaf. [[image - check mark]] In stage II [[strikethrough]] builds [[/strikethrough]] makes a long perch of the [[strikethrough]] [[apex?]] [[/strikethrough]] of midrib and eats the whole leaf like [[underlined]] Nerice. [[/underlined]] [[underlined]] Stage II [[/underlined]] Hd slightly bilobed, greenish a smoky black shade covers the side including ocelli and a narrow smoky band runs to apex in front of the lateral angle, [[mouth?]] [[brown?]] [[end page]]

Normal, vi present. Body green with very faintly indicated [[ad?]]-d, s-d lat, and super stig. waved whitish lines. Leaf green; a smoky black band runs behind ocelli back and up, tapering and ends at side of head; mouth reddish. w. Body as before but the fine dark setae have no tubercles Color leaf green. On 2-3 a yellowish line edged above with red runs up from below spiracle to [[underlined]] lateral [[/underlined]] line. (Tho feet black except at joint) very obscure a-d [[dorsal?]], s-d, lat. and stigmatal waved whitish lines. Abd. feet all green the claspers faintly
