July 5, 1894 Stage I Tubercle i with enlarged base, ii with no base, iv and v consolidated - from single enlarged base (vi absent). On 5 and 6 vii a with enlarged base (vii b absent) vii c and viii with no base 
On 11-13 ant vii c is absent and on 13 ant viii also disappears.
12 like picture except bases of i consolidated half way up. On 13 ant there is (1) a furcate dorsal [[post.?]] (2) a long base ant. (3) one [[post]] each with crown and single seta, iv + v is absent there being a space, and below it the single vii. (See alcohol for thorax)

(@AntelopeWest) If the image doesn't depict antenna on top of two of the projections, my use of ant is probably wrong throughout the page. (@siobhanleachman) - Great transcribing Jon! Glad someone has got an idea about what Dyar is talking about. I've added in some markup to make page consistent with other pages across the projects and managed to solve SOME of the [[?]]. (@mnathan): "Ant", I believe, is shorthand for "anterior" - as in, this is the "anterior" (i.e. head) end of the caterpillar.
