For Prize Contest.

Last winter I was ill and by February had lost hope of ever being able to work much again. Then Burpee's catalog came, and my husband asked me to help make out the seed order. I saw that I could get some seeds free if the order was in before March first. Thus, I became interested enough to plan a little garden.

With my son's help I got three boxes planted in April, Asters, Zinnias and Snapdragons. My health improved and hope grew with the seeds. First Sweet Aly seen then Coreopsis, Snapdragons and Zinnias were covered with blossoms. Zinnias have been a special attraction, many passersby have inquired about them. Asters are beginning to bloom. I shall exhibit some at the flower show this week.

Since June I have been doing all my housework, caring for my garden and making an ever increasing number of bouquets for friends. Credit also must be given to the vegetables I have had from my husband's garden.

Therefore, Burpee's Seeds have given me a deep interest in floriculture, and what money cannot buy, Health and Happiness
