W. Atle Burpee Seed Co.,
Philadelphia, Pa.

Gentlemen:-
Below please find my essay of two hundred words, for your prize offered on the best essay as to the quality of your seed.
In using Burpee's seeds, I find them to be superior to any I have ever used. Not only are the plants strong and hardy, but yield a larger crop than any other seed.
I have been using Burpee's seeds for the last seven years and find them to be not only superior in quality, but the quantity is far in access of any seed on the market.

I have a six year old bed of asparagus, fifty feet square, which produces enough for family use, besides being enough to sell from ten to fifteen dollars. In delivering some to a customer last summer, was asked what method I used in producing such fine quality, I asked why, "He said that is the finest I have ever tasted, that there was no comparison between that and what he bought on the market". I told him there was no method to it, it was raised from Burpee's best quality asparagus roots, the best money could buy. This not only applies to asparagus, but every kind of seed purchased from this firm produces absolutely the finest quality without any competition. The use of Burpee's seeds alone is sufficient proof of its superior quality.
Yours truly,
Orma Hubbell
