My Dear Mr. Reid:

      Mr. T.H. Tibbles who bears this note, is the well-known "Ponca Tibbles". He has been in Boston for a number of weeks with Standing Bear and other Poncas, engaged in the work of raising a fund to carry up a test case on the questions of the civil rights of the Indian, and in creating sympathy in behalf of this object. He has, as you know, been assailed by representatives of the Indian Agents, and is made the target for severe and unfair attack. He has the endorsement of
