     It was a grand occasion and we rejoice for the relief it brings to S. Bear and all upon the old home -- tho 'it cannot bring back those that are lost or make it what it once way or might have been
     If you were within reach I would like to tell all the little details but I have returned a little unwell & coming to sit down, begin to feel how tired I am
     Yesterday I stopped over at Eliza long enough to see the girls-- who are well & in good spirits Did not see Miss Read but met Miss Higgins for the first time
     Am glad it proves that May is not sick
     The paper today reports that Little Chief of the Hceyemme has been offered land by the Sioux -- at the conference

yesterday -- and I thank the Lord that one or two steps are thus made towards fairer dealing, and pray that it may be but a beginning -- for there is so much to be done --
