ANNUAL REPORT
For the Period from April 1, 1925 to April 1, 1926
OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE MUSEUM OF THE AMERICAN INDIAN
HEYE FOUNDATION
TO
GEORGE G. HEYE, GRANTOR

In Compliance with the Provisions of Subdivision 10 of Article III of the Foundation Deed, dated May 10, 1916.

TRUSTEES' MEETINGS
At the annual meeting held on May 5, 1925, Mr. George G. Heye was reelected Chairman and Mr. Harmon W. Hendricks, Vice-Chairman, and those two gentlemen were also reelected to the Executive Committee to serve until the annual meeting in the year 1928. The Chairman, Mr. Heye, was appointed Director of the Museum and the Director, together with Messrs. Hodge, Orchard, Saville and Harrington, were appointed the Staff Committee to serve until the next annual meeting.

At the regular meeting held on the first day of December, 1925, the Board accepted, with regret, the resignation of Mr. Samuel Riker, as Trustee.

At the meeting of the Board held on February 2, 1926, the Board authorized the construction of the first unit of the Bronx Annex Buildings and the execution of a contract with Messrs. Cauldwell, Wingate & Company to that end. The plans prepared by Mr. Charles E. Birge, architect, were also submitted and approved.

The Board, at its various meetings, followed out the financial policy of previous years in the adoption of a budget for the fiscal year commencing April 1, 1926, and in the provision of the necessary funds to meet the budget expenses through subscriptions and pledges. The financing of the cost of constructing the first unit for the Bronx Annex was also accomplished through the fund established at the Trustees' meeting held on May 6, 1924, and the agreement of the subscribers thereto to anticipate the payments on account of their subscriptions made at the time.
