^[[For the greater part of the year the exhibition series was inaccessible, owing to the use of the Court as a store-room. Since the Court was opened the specimens have been carefully examined, in part rearranged, and everything put in order, so far as existing conditions would allow. Because of the inaccessibility of the exhibit and the limitations of space, no effort has been made to increase the number of specimens. Aside from general supervision of the collection, the routine work of the office, the investigation of subjects referred to the Section by the Division of Correspondence, and the preparation of manuscript for a score or more of labels, nothing has been done directly pertaining to the Section of the Materia Medica.]]
