Section showing open anticline 1/2 mile northwest of Linville Station.

At top are sandy shaly beds with Cryptolithus and Calymene Below this are about 10' containing Reuschella and Eoplectodonta. This bed is somewhat massive dark sandy rock. Below this is a granular limestone for about 35' and below these black shaly limestone of Athens type. No typical Chambersburg here.

Section on M. M. Bownan farm, on Co. hy 670. Take US 11 for 1/2 mile, turn east [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] on Co. hy 670 for 1000' + - . Then go N about 500 down ravine between house & barn.
Cryptophragmus about 60' below Greencastle bed with Christiania and Resserella. The Cryptophragmus is about 25' above the highest Nidulites. Many fusoid markings & snails.
