A collection from Kew was delivered to me early in the month, which I unpacked immediately, selected the material belonging to my sections and delivered the rest to the Registrar for distribution among the other curators.
Three fine lots of Australian & New Zealand wools have been delivered to me, one of which has been arranged in boxes for ready reference. The other specimens remain in their original exhibition cases. Large collections of wools are undoubtedly of considerable value, but it is difficult to know how to care for them. If sealed up they are practically useless for examination, if not sealed they are liable to attacks of moths.
