7th June 1929. afternoon. A fine day after wet week, warm & little wind &  some very hot sun. Drove Miss Knowles &c to Liffey Head, Co. 8th June 1929. In evening, after terrific thunder shower I took a [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Cladius difformis [[/underlined]] (very dark wings & the largest I have ever seen! RCLP) in W.J. William's garden (on [[underlined]] Gingko [[/underlined]]!) at Dartry Rd., Rathgar, DU.

9th June 1929. A fine day but only short sun bursts & a strong cool W. wind.
Worked marshes & scrub &c. on both banks of R. Slaney below George's Bridge (Ballyhabbock, Glen of Imaal) Co. WI.
Also took a few on left bank above George's Bridge (3)
1 = left bank below & 2 = right bank below bridge!
