Except a few ichneumon & braconid taken after tea by sweeping at Ballineddin by OMahony & myself, no hymenoptera were seen during the day except a single [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] Myrmica scabrinodis [[/underlined]] taken by OMahony at the land of of North Prison at ca. 2,800 feet under a stone. This [[female symbol]] I think was one carried up during a "flight" the previous year which had hibernated there during the winter; there was no sign of a nest or workers.
[[underlined]] Gyriocampa foveola [[/underlined]] 1 [[female symbol]] (! AWS. & Nixon).
