Nothing seen in way of bees but a very few Bombi, probably all [[underlined]] B. lucorum [[/underlined]]; also Myrmica schencki [[/underlined]], [[underlined]] Lasius niger [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] L. flavus [[/underlined]]. Plenty of [[underlined]] Platyarthus hoffmansegii [[/underlined]] in nests of last 2 spp. Saw but failed to catch, wingless [[female symbol]] Phygadenonid exactly where one taken on 9.8.29. [[line across page]] 23rd April 1930. Dull all day & misty rain from 11 AM onwards. Walked on Arklow Head to Askintinny & back across S. Strand. Saw one [[female symbol]] Psithyrus [[/underlined]] distinctus on Head & 1 [[female symbol]] [[underlined]] And. gwynana [[/underlined]] at Askintinny. [[line across page]] 24th April 1930. Damp, wet & foggy, but very warm, all day. In afternoon drove to Meeting of the Waters, & walked up right bank of river to 3rd ry. bridge aross same.
