4th May 1930. A dull morning, turning fine, but 15 minutes after reaching Clara a [[gain?]] formed & it rained hard, though blue sky to east & also to west. Left Clara at 2 pm & made over Wicklow Gap, down Kings River Valley to Hollywood & Mergenstown Glen, where there was considerable sun, but strong breeze.

12-0 to 12-30 noon. Marsh N.W. of Garryduff Cross Roads, S of Rathdrum, WI.

11th May 1930. A hopeless day with rain in afternoon on approach of depression. Ballymore Eustace, Co. KD.
[[underlined]] Andrena sericea [[/underlined]] [[female symbol]], very fresh, on dandelion (Palmer), near sand-cliff by the Liffy, where we arrived just as the rain commenced.
Common Bugle in flower.
