12-30 till 4 pm. Clara, Co. WI.  Sunny, very windy & several showers.  Almost all taken in oak woods behind sand flat (1) & in Osmunda glade (2).  A few species taken near Bridge & [[underlined]] Dolerus niger [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] [[insertion]] ^ (small) [[/insertion]] taken above Bridge by M.D.S. (3). 
No bees seen on sand-flat: too winds!
[[underlined]] Nomada bifida [[/underlined]] seen in woods.
[[underlined]] Dolerus aeneus [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] & [[female symbol]] in woods.
[[underlined]] Pontania leucopsis [[/underlined]] [[insertion]] [[checkmark]] RCLP. [[/insertion]] [[female symbol]] on birch at 2 (antennae subsequently broken! AWS).

23rd May 1930, afternoon.  A fine day with hot sun & cool E. breeze at end of a fine week.
Glenasmole, Co. DU. East side of lower reservoir, unless otherwise stated: almost all taken in first big coomb.
[[underlined]] Bombus jonellus [[/underlined]] (1), [[underlined]] lucorum [[/underlined]] & agrorum [[2 female symbols]] seen, no [[2 virgin female symbols]].
[[underlined]] Andrena subopaca [[/underlined]] [[strikethrough]] [[female symbol]] [[/strikethrough]] 1 [[male symbol]] on Bellis.
[[underlined]] Vespa vulgaris [[/underlined]] & [[underlined]] rufa [[/underlined]] [[2 female symbol]] seen.
[[underlined]] Dolerus gessneri [[/underlined]] [[2  male symbols]] abundant, 1 few [[2 female symbols]].
[[underlined]] D. binaculatus [[/underlined]] 1 [[male symbol]] in coomb; 1 [[female symbol]] in "dubius" marsh below dam, by road.
