Shuts up. Then Whitestarts begin again. NODWAH Shut up.
6:37 Fog getting thicker and thicker. Very difficult to see anything now. This fog does [[underlined]] not [[underlined]] appear to be stimulating the formation of mixed flocks.

6:45. Birds noticeably quieter now.

NOTE: There are a [[underline]] lot [[/underline]] of birds around here which sound like [[underline]] Chloraspingus [[/underline]] ; but I have not been able to identify them yet.

Catch glimpse [[2 checkmark]] 2 [[/checkmark]] or 3 birds flitting about very actively. Both low in scrub and moderately high in trees. Apparently "[[underline]] luteoviridis [[/underline]] – types." But very noisy. Uttering lots of "Song" phrases. [[underline]] And these are very distinctive! [[/underline]] Like very long repeated Whitestart Songs, with lots of added components, including R's!!!! General effect is [[underline]] not [[/underline]] very [[underline]] Basileuterus [[/underline]] -like! Could these be [[underline]] Hemispingus frontalis [[/underline]] ????? Could they be the birds heard uttering [[underline]] Chloraspingus [[/underline]] -like sounds earlier???? More important, [[underline]] could they also be the birds heard uttering presumed Whitestart Songs earlier???? Birds apparently alone.

Fog lifts completely 7:10 a.m.

7:15. Walking down the road. I hear some more Songs which do sound more typically Whitestart-like. I only wish that I could [[underline]] see [[/underline]] the damn things! NODWAH. Shut up.

Then see single "[[underline]] luteoviridis [[/underline]] -type." Definitely alone. 6 – 8 ft up small trees. (Now) uttering "Al CN"s. Yellow superciliary is very broad and bright. And bill does look comparatively long and heavy. So I am now fairly certain this species [[double underline]] is [[/underline]]
