[[circled]]47[[/circled]] [[margin, red]] Pect [[/margin]] 9:47. 8475 ft. See single Pect [[checkmark]] alone. Feeding small tubular red flowers 1 - 4 ft up scrub edge road. Silent 10:01 8350ft. See single [[underline]] H.[[checkmark]] cyanocephala [[/underline]]. Apparently alone. 2 - 3 ft up second growth scrub. 10:07. Clouds coming up, and I am starting back up hill. Still at 8350 ft, see a single Blue & Orange fly across road. Silent and alone. 10:37 8550 ft See group [[2 checkmarks]] 2 or 3 flycatcher CIX's flycatching in semi-AS, 3 - 10 ft up. Apparently [[underline]] alone [[/underline]]. [[underline]] It certainly looks as if mixed flocks tend to "dissolve" in midmorning here.[[/underline]] Also see single Ruddy [[checkmark]] Flycatcher in usual place, 30ft away. Also alone. Speak of the devil! Only a few minutes later see definite mixed flock. Includes [[3 checkmarks]] 3 Chlorospingus [[?]] [[1 encircled]] types (CXIII), 1 ^[[1 checkmark]] CC-like ^[[2, in a circle]] type (CXIV) [[underline]] 1 [[1 checkmark]] [[symbol, male]] [[3 encircled]] Red Woodpecker [[/underline]] (apparently same species as in Venezuela), 1 [[1 checkmark]] [[symbol, male]] [[4 encircled]] [[underline]] WCC [[/underline]] (blue headed form), and , probably, 1 [[1 checkmark]] [[symbol, female]] WCC. All birds ranging 2-6 ft up thick second growth scrub. [[underline]] In exact same area as PL-frontalis flock earlier this morning. [[/underline]] All birds close together. All quiet. [[underline]] Chlorospingus[[/underline]]-types probably in lead. [[margin]] flock 26 14 inds 9 spp [[/margin]] [[margin, red]] WCC [[/margin]] 1 Ruddy [[1 checkmark]] [[5 encircled]] flycatcher j [[arrow pointing right]] group [[margin, red]] WCC [[/margin]] NOTE: The [[male symbol]] WCC was behaving in usual [[underline]] Couirostrum [[?]] [[/underline]] manner. Puling [[?]] insects off leaves. But [[underline]] perhaps [[/underline]] slower and more sluggish than most other forms of the genus (including the white-capped WCC) with which I am familiar. Same flock back 10:55. Now see that it also includes 1 [[6, encircled]] [[underline]] H. [[/underline]] [[1 checkmark]]
