Mr Jones came back from New York last night. Was down here today -

Carpenters are putting on the tin roof on the #1 Engine House here at New Boston - Was blown off last year during the severe wind storm we had shortly after the damaging hail storm - The roof had been painted and fixed up[[in pencil]], [[strikethrough]] good [[/strikethrough, /pencil]] a little while before the storms -

Andro Swede, car loader at Vulcan, had his arm nearly cut off to day [[symbol: o with a horizontal line through it]] On the car road we have a piece of hemp rope for leaving the cars down under the breaker. One end is attached to the cars and the other end is wound about a post, and a man holds the end - and leaves the cars down gradually - In some manner or other Andro got his arm inside one of the coils around the post, and before he got it out the cars had pulled it tight - Right arm - between elbow and wrist - Bone broken, and only a few pieces of flesh keeping the part attached - Sent for Doctor Lewis at once - Doctor advised him to go to the Miners Hospital - He went on the 6.06 P.M. train - Cut his arm off at Hospital at once - Poleander - married - Living at Vulcan -

Carpenters are putting in a Christ Jig at Vulcan - Received the 3 we ordered from "Christ" for Vulcan - Stove Coal - West side - 
Received word from Delano last evening stating that they would run cars 3 days next week, Monday, Tuesday + Wednesday -

Mr Jones took his Annual Report with him to day -
