Pleasant this morning - commenced snowing about noon, and the fierce winds are blowing here and there - Very disagreeable -

Vulcan Colliery worked only 7 hours - Had more than sufficient coal in breaker to load their cars, and they run through 3 gms condemned' Nut afterwards
BMtn Colliery worked 9 hours -

An eccentric on the engine running the "Nut 'Christ' Jig West side, broke this afternoon at B Mtn Colliery - Took the eccentric off the Stove Coal jig, same side, and put in on the 'Nut, and the "Stove" Jig was idle all afternoon - Will order new one tomorrow morning -

Steam has been low at Vulcan Colliery during the last few days - and they are falling a little behind of their large hoists - B Mtn is picking up wonderfully well - Hoisted 210 coal and 7 Rock this forenoon -

Today is the last day the collieries will work this week, as the "L.V." will not run cars until next week -

Lewis Grant, the contractor died today at Pottsville. His brother John, of Lost Creek was buried one week ago -
