People are commencing to plant - Frost is out of the ground -

BM Collieriy worked 9 hours - Vulcan 10 hours.
Buck Mountain did poorly this morning - Cars jumped track on Slope pulled out some timber - delayed hoisting for a little while - Also had a car with broken wheel to pull up - It jumped the track on trestle, and delayed the hoisting -
Vulcan hoisted 231 cars of Coal this forenoon - 5hrs.

Both Collieries idle - Every body suspended at Vulcan - 

At Buck Mountain we have 4 men putting up the timber at mouth of slope, that was torn down yesterday by cars jumping the track (3 sets) Have 8 men timbering in the 3rd east where we have a bit of a squeeze - 
Everybody else suspended-

Full force of Carpenters are working here at New Boston today, shingling old shop - Also have 3 laborers and team unloading car of shingles -

Messrs Jones Schumacher & Jones drove over to the eastern [[strikethrough]] basin [[/strikethrough]] cup of the New Boston basin [[strikethrough]] outcrop of [[/strikethrough]] to have a look around -

Everything quiet -
