Beautiful day - much warmer during the middle of day than yesterday - Ice last night -

Both Collieries idle - "L.V." not running cars

The Legislative Investigating Committee are at Hazleton this week - Mr. Jones [[strikethrough]] st [[/strikethrough]] remained here last night -

Mr. Jones is figuring on the comparative costs of haulage in the 3rd & Fourth Lifts at Buck Mountain Colliery between "mule" power and "air locomotives" -
Evidently, the haulage would not be near [[strikethrough]] as [[/strikethrough]] so expensive by air Locomotives, as by that of "mule power" -

Quite a number of men working at both Collieries - Cleaning up - hoisting rack, etc - Have a squad timbering the 3rd east; also a large squad working at third Lift Bottom (new) - all at Buck Mountain Colliery -

Everything quiet
