Commenced Raining 6 PM - Rained very heavily the greater part of night -

Last night at one-oclock Messr Patterson and Schumacher visited Vulcan Colliery, to find out how things [[strikethrough]] go [[/strikethrough]] are at night - by request of Mr. Jones - 
The foreman, helper, and watchman, were very surprised, but they were found on duty -
Mike Myers & Til Sewell made a trip to Buck Mtn at the same time, and with same results -
