Both Collieries idle - R.R. Co. not running cars. -

Received word by phone to-day from Delano, the following: "Will run cars 2 days this week, Wednesday and Thursday".  This means 1 days work for us, each Colliery -

Birzey is at work making sketch of piping for compressed air plant at Buck Mountain - Plan will show length of pipe, fittings etc - so everything can be shipped in a lump -

Everything quiet - Few men working -

Both Collieries idle - R.R. Co. not running cars -

Few men working around Collieries - Expect to do a good days work at both Collieries tomorrow -

Have men excavating at Buck Mountain right along side of store - Are going to make a cellar for storing potatoes etc -

We are at work making , or rather laying out location for fan blower at B Mtn - Fan at Vulcan is giving very good satisfaction - The steam that was used to operate one steam jet is enough to run engine - Thus saving 7 jets - Only haul out 6 to 8 dumpers of ashes now, dispensed with one ashman - Before putting in the fan we use to haul out twice as much -

Will give the Christ (new) Chestnut Jig at Vulcan a trial tomorrow - This jig was put in to try and prepare that coal so as to prevent coal from being condemned -
