Today at Vulcan, the 4 [[feet symbol]] cog wheel on Egg coal Elevators, East side, broke - In order to work all day we were obliged to shovel the coal down the broken coal chute, leading to west side - Ordered new one at once from Tamauqua Mfg Co; sent team down for it - will try and put it in tonight -

Condemned 5 [[superscript]] 1 [[/superscript]] /2 cars stove and 5 [[superscript]] 1 [[/superscript]] /2 cars nut at Vulcan today - First we have had for some time -

Everything all right at B Mtn -

Lond distance phone is working today - Short line is fixed temporarily, waiting for new coils for bell -
