Both Collieries idle - R.R. Co. not running cars. Will resume tomorrow - 

Sent off Boiler Report, both Collieries, to Stein to-day - 

Air Compressor arrived at BMtn to-day - 

Are putting on 1600 ft 1 5/8" rope, of Roebling's make, at Vulcan to-day - Rope taken off had been on 3 years and 11 months - Mr. Jones wrote to Roebling's of the good service done - 

Harrison Ball has completed the 5 new blocks of houses at Buck Mountain - some of them are occupied - The store building at B Mtn is being improved - Are building ware room etc, something that was very much needed there -

Pleasant this morning - Rain, Thunder and Lightening last night - 

[[strikethrough]] Both [[/strikethrough]] Vulcan  Colliery worked 10 hours - 
BMtn worked 9 hours - short of coal
The eccentric straps on the Egg Christ engine broke this morning at Vulcan this A.M. Took the straps off one of the Nut Jigs and placed it on the Egg engine - Ordered 2 pairs of straps from Tamauqua at once - 

We are adjusting the barrier line pillar between Vulcan and BMtn Collieries - Are in correspondence with Mr Lathrop -
