^[[1.) The accessions during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1893, numbered 254 according to the catalogue. During the fiscal year ending June 30, 1894, they

2.) Last year's accession included the purchases made for the World's Columbian
Exposition, which consisted largely of fine old prints. There is nothing to offset these in this year's acquisitions. But among the photomechanical reproductions, etchings, etc. acquired by gift, there are many interesting and valuable specimens.]]
