Dec. 31, 1894.

Dear Mr. Goode
As I shall be absent for a year, and shall not, therefore, be able to send in a report on June 10, 1895, I beg to submit a report herewith for the six months ending to-day.
I would call special attention to the last section of the report, as it contains certain statements which my successor, should it become necessary to appoint one, will find useful.
Yours truly
S.R. Koehler
Curator Sect. of Graph. Arts.

Dr. G. Brown Goode.
Assist. Sec. Smithsonian Institution.
