The W. Atlee Burpee Co
Dear Sirs
With our first $5 worth of seeds received from you last spring, in spite of poor white soil we have grown 2 1/2 acres of mangels, which if the weather is favorable will be worth anyway $250 to us for cow feed; and besides we have had a bounteous supply of vegetables for a family of five all summer with plenty left for winter use.
As far as we could tell every seed grew. And what is worth more than anything else we have renewed courage to tackle a difficult proposition with poor soil and make a success of it.

Mrs. J. E. Hiatt
