For Prize Contest

Several years ago we purchased some Burpee's Matchless tomato seed (selected) and planted a good sized patch. They grew vigorously, producing a large crop of beautiful tomatoes, every one smooth, very large, of a dark red color, meal-solid with practically no waste.

We drew them to a canning factory. After the first load, we were ordered to unload on the opposite side of the yards from where others unloaded. We found we were attracting attention and finally asked the reason, and were told they were saving them for seed, our whole crop.

We have raised them every year since.
