[[circled]] 108 [[/circled]] [[stamped]] Jul 16 1925 [[/stamped]] Bearden, Tennessee, RFD #2. July 10, 1925. FOR CONTEST. W. Atlee Burpee Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Gentlemen: A few years ago I took up gardening. I sent a request to the different Seed Houses, including Burpee's, for a catalogue. All were kind enough to comply, and in making up my order I split it with several different concerns. The next year I ordered from three houses. I label and date all plantings. Last spring you will find by referring to my order I gave it all to Burpee's, as I expect to do in the future for I have gotten better results from Burpee's Seeds than from any others that I have planted. They germinate, come up, grow, and produce, and you may expect my order next year. Respectfully yours, [[underline-signature]] John A Bacon [[/underline -signature]] John A. Bacon.
