Lucy -
     I love you madly.  I've just been waiting for the right moment to tell you & now I can control myself no longer.  I can't believe [[underlined]] you [[/underlined]] of all people should dream I didn't like you.  You're absolutely getting as nuts as me in your old day.  I promise to like you forever.  And I'm glad you cleared up the thing about "my work/not my work".  I must have been crazy to say such a thing about the DP [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] being my work.  However, I think I meant that there was a universal or impersonal aspect to dealing with my womanness as opposed to my particular individual self, which, with the exception of my habit of shaving my underarms & legs, has basically transcended female role, but never, never my womanness - but that's my particular, as opposed to, generic wommanness, if you know what I mean.  At any rate, it better be my work as June 1st represents 4 years I've been working on it.  I can hardly wait for it to be over.  I'm carving the last plates finally & then will paint them, with the help of several traditional china painters who've begun to help me.  It's wonderful to have them work with me - rose painters working on my images.  DIVINE.
    The piece is scheduled to open in January - & you better be here.  I'll pay for your flight myself if necessary.  As to writing, take your pick.  Lots of people have approached the art map & gotten
