Dear Richard C,

Please send this face collage to Lucy Lippard.

[[image - two grainy circles illusionistically shaded with a cross-hatching technique]]

[[stamp- RAY JOHNSONG]]

[[image - black flat shape resembling lips]]

[[there is a cut in the paper from the right corner of the lips to the right edge of the page]]

[[there is a subtle linear yellow-brown stain slightly above and to the left of the lips]]

[[image, lower left - a small photograph, probably from a photo-booth, of a person holding a sheet of paper, approximately 8.5 x 11 inches, over their face completely obstructing their identity. The paper depicts the same two balls and lips "face" as on this whole page. The person appears to be sticking their tongue through an opening in the lips on the page. The background is flat light grey. There is a rectangular yellow-brown stain intersecting this photograph probably from the decaying adhesive of the tape used to attach the photo to the paper.]]

[[image, lower right - a small photo booth photograph also depicting a person holding a similar sheet of paper with the two balls and lips "face" over their face. There are vertical waves of a curtain in the background. This person is wearing a wedding ring, unlike the person in the photo on the left, and also appears to be wearing a different striped buttondown shirt. The paper depicted in this photo is a little "washed out" so it is difficult to tell if the person is also sticking their tongue through a hole in the page or if the printed lips are a different shape. The paper also includes a faint rectangular shape in the lower left corner unlike the page in the photo on the left of this page. Though the two photographs are similar, they are probably of different people in separate photo-shoots.]]
