Dear Mr. Gear,
In reply to your favor of June 30, I would say that you did quite right in asking me for a statement, etc., in as much as I still hold my position at the U. S. National Museum, altho' only in an "honorary" way. Unfortunately, however, - there is no statement to be made. No money having been appropriated, no purchases could be made for the Section of Graphic Arts, nor could I, under the circumstances, continue my attempts at "soliciting" for the Museum. 

The only additions that appear on the catalogue, are the following:
