Referred by Command of Bvt Maj Genl Ruger to Comdg Officer of 1" USCT to know whether such officer can be spared. [[Footnote 2]] Respectfully returned by Col. Holerman Comdg Officer of 1" U.S.C.T. who says that two Capt & 1 Lieut detailed in this Bu, and they cannot be spared.  [[Footnote 3]] Respectfully returned by Maj. Cilley A.A.G. Dept. of N.C. who requests that another name be suggested.
Respectfully forwarded to indicate the process of getting officers detailed for duty in this Bureau.  My request is dated July 26".  It is returned aug. 15" with a polite request to suggest some other name.
