Continuation of endorsement in case of Hilliard Gibbs in regard to his claim for services as Agent in the Bureau from Aug 8" 65 to April 16" 67 - for which he received no pay. [[Footnote 1]] Recd back from Col. Moore May 1" 67 with report of Lt. Austin Fuller in which it is stated that he knows not by what authority Mr. Gibbs served in the Bureau but judges he was employed by Capt. H. Jones.

With recommendation that the indentures of the within named boys be cancelled and the boys be returned to this Post, where ample employment will be furnished them."

Endorsement on report submitted by Bvt. Maj Gen Robert Avery, Inspector of an investigation made by him of the circumstances attending the murder of Archibald Beebee [[underlined]] alias[[/underlined]] Warden a freedman in the town of Fayetteville, N.C. on Feby 11" 1867, and of the action taken by the civil authorities in the case. Recommends that the Mayor & Justices and the Coroner be removed from office and that a Provost Court be organized for trial of minor offences. - Also recommends the immediate arrest of Capt. Tolar Monk Julip & D.G. McRae that they may be tried by a Military Commission for the murder of Beebee. [[Footnote 1]]
