My Dear Colonel:-
  Your two letters of June 26th and 30th reached me on arrival here yesterday I am pleased indeed to have so much news from you- Stocks seem to have had a bad shaking up all round and I fancy that purchasing Kentucky Whiskey shares was about as bad a move as I could have made-
