[[circle]] 44 [[/circled]]

TF edge slide. Same place seen earlier this morning. But now the pair seems to be alone.

10:45 am. Up at crest of ridge. See still another mixed flock! Includes ^[[3 check marks above]] 3 or 4 Firebellies, ^[[1 check mark above]] 1 Blue & Black, at least 1 ^[[1 check mark above]] "BCBT". All 10-20 ft up USTF trees. Quiet. Group probably [[underlined]] not [[/underlined]] highly integrated.

Leaving 11:00 am

COMMENT: There is a point that I forgot to mention earlier. I shouldn't be surprised if [[underlined]] Delothraupis [[/underlined]] plays the same ecological role here as [[underlined]] Dubusia [[/underlined]] in other parts of the Andes. (The two forms may, in fact, be closely related.

Going to investigate Huayna Picchu again this afternoon (and now I am told that the name definitely [[underlined]] is [[/underlined]] "Huayna"). Starting along path 3:15 pm.

Reach point 8075 ft 3:45 pm. This is a place where I saw some birds a couple years ago. But it certainly is quiet and apparently devoid of life now (except for some hummingbirds).

^margin in red [[Thalass]] Actually, there are quite a lot of hummingbirds around here-including Thalass.

4:50 pm. See group ^[[3 check marks above]] 3 Whitestarts. Alone. Quiet. Moving thru small trees 10-12 ft up.

5:07. See single ^[[1 check mark above]] wren of the species often with flocks on the other side of Machu Picchu. Definitely alone here now.

Stopping observation 5:15 pm.
