Fog seems to be settling in as permanent 8:35 am.
Flock is moving slowly uphill. Difficult to see now. Not making very rapid progress. Apparently hasn't been joined by anything now.

Going to start downhill (myself) slowly 8:45.

[[margin in red]] Sitti B&C [[/margin]]
8:55 am. Just below X-Myst area Come across [[underlined]] very [[/underlined]] large mixed flock moving rapidly uphill in thick scrub. Includes at least 20 birds. Approximately 4 ^[[4 check marks above]] Black ^[[4 check marks above and numeral 1 in circle above]]-cheeks (got good view of crown patch this time); approximately 4 ^[[4 check marks above]] furnariid ^[[ numeral 2 in circle above and 4 black check marks above]] LXX's; at least one ^[[2 check marks above and numeral 3 in circle above]] Oectheca [[?]]LXXI; at least one (dull) ^[[numeral 4 in circle above]] fly catcher of another species; at least one ^[[numeral 5 circled above]] Buff ^[[2 check marks above]] & Blue Tanager (this time I saw that it had a whitish throat, with darkish [[underlined]] moustache [[/underlined]] stripes); at least one ^[[numeral 6 in circle above and 1 check mark]]Sitti (seen clearly); and one 6[[1 check mark above]] Blue ^[[numeral 7 circled above]] & Chestnut Conebill-type (almost certainly the same species seen in other flock this morning-certainly not [[underlined]]black [[/underlined]] chinned). Group ^[[2 check marks above and numeral 8 circled above]] as a whole ^[[2 check marks above and numeral 9 circled above]] whole rather quiet. Only "CN"s. The Black-cheeks [[underlined]]may[[/underlined]] have been in the lead. The furvariids [[?]] and the Buff & Blue Tanager were certainly following.

Just a few feet further on, but some 10 minutes later, in region of mixed bamboo and arborescent scrub, come across group of at least 2 ^[[2 check marks above]] (probably more) [[underlined]] B. sugroiristatus [[?]][[/underlined]].Apparetnly alone. Utter "CN"s. Then go downhill.

Then see single thrush alone.

A little further on, see single ^[[1 check mark above]] Firebelly alone.

Then come across huge mixed flock. Obviously the same very large mixed flock seen earlier at 8:55. Apparently retracing their steps, along a circular route. Moving very, [[underlined]] very [[/underlined]] fast, over areas of both dense arborescent scrub and scattered scrub interspersed with open spaces. Composition of the group is probably mush the same as when seen earlier, with one addition: the Firebelly ^[[1 check mark above and numeral 8 in circle above]]. The
