AVON LONG (John Sage, Rusty) is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. He has been listed in Who's Who in the American Theatre ever since his memorable portrayal of Sportin' Life in the folk opera [[italicized]]Porgy and Bess[[/italicized]] many decades ago. Mr. Long credits his Douglas High School Latin teacher, Miss Nellie Buchanan, for encouragement of this potential. He has appeared in such distinguished and memorable musicals as [[italicized]]Bloomer Girl; Carmen Jones; Very Warm for May; Kiss Me, Kate; Carib Song; Shuffle Along; Green Pastures; Beggar's Holiday; La Belle Helene; Memphis Bound;[[/italicized]] and more recently [[italicized]]Fly Blackbirds; Aint Supposed to Die a Natural Death; and Dont Play Us Cheap,[[italicized]] which won him a Tony nomination. In the movies he was most recently in [[italicized]]The Sting and also Dont Play Us Cheap, Harry and Tonto, Finian's Rainbow, Ziegfeld Follies, Centennial Summer, Romance on the High Seas, and Manhattan Merry-Go-Round.[[/italicized]]

JOSEPHINE PREMICE ([[italicized]]Irene Paige[[/italicized]]) is truly an international performer whose wide and varied career ranges from Broadway to almost every major night club in the world. Ms. Premice first appeared on Broadway in the Cheryl Crawford production of [[italicized]]Mr. Johnson[[/italicized]] directed by Bobby Lewis, followed by [[italicized]]Jamaica[[/italicized]], the David Merrick production with Lena Horne. Other theatrical productions followed, including [[italicized]]Electra[[/italicized]] and [[italicized]]The Cherry Orchard[[/italicized]] for Joseph Papp at the Public Theatre, and the revival of [[italicized]]House of Flowers[[/italicized]] at the Theatre De Lys. A regular for over two years on the [[italicized]]Merv Griffin Show,[[/italicized]] she has also appeared in the role of Madame Gautier in the television production of [[italicized]]The Jane Pittman Story.[[italicized]] A veteran nightclub performer, Ms. Premice has appeared in top clubs all over the world.
JOSEPH ATTLES ([[italicized]]Checkers, Dusty[[/italicized]]) was a member of the Repertory Theatre of Lincoln Center and appeared there in [[italicized]]King Lear[[/italicized]] and [[italicized]]A Cry of Players.[[/italicized]] His career began as a singer and dancer in [[italicized]]The Blackbirds of 1928[[/italicized]] starring Bill Robinson and Adelaide Hall. He also went on the famous 1929 European tour of the show. Among his numerous Broadway appearances, he lists [[italicized]]John Henry [[/italicized]] opposite Paul Robeson, [[italicized]]Kwamina[[/italicized]] and the international company of [[italicized]]Porgy and Bess[[/italicized]], starring William Warefield and Leontyne Price, in which he played the role of Sportin' Life. Off-Broadway Mr. Attles has been seen in [[italicized]]The Day of Absence, The Reckoning,[[/italicized]] and [[italicized]]Prodigal Son.[[/italicized]] His film credits include [[italicized]]The Swimmer, For The Love of Ivy, The Liberation of Lord Byron Jones,[[/italicized]] and the current [[italicized]]Going Home, The Gambler, Across 110th Street,[[/italicized]] and [[italicized]]The[[/italicized]]
