4 till 6.15 pm. Upper part of Devil's Glen, Co. WI.

[[underlined]] Crabro [[strikethrough]] varius [[/strikethrough]] [[insertion]] more like [[underlined]] palmipes [[/underlined]] ! AWS 12/1/32. [[/insertion]] 1 [[female symbol]]
[[underlined]] Athalia lugeus [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] & [[underlined]] A. cordata [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] in marsh near road.
[[underlined]] Blennocampa tenuicornis [[/underlined]] [[male symbol]] possibly swept off [[underlined]] Salix [[/underlined]]!

NB. Many icks swept off rushes, Salia &c. along ditch not far below main road at top of glen.

12th July 1931. A fine day (with falling glass!), mainly cloudy after 2 pm., hot, after a very wet night. With Palmer
Rathdrum, Co. WI. Vale below station to Avondale footbridge on right bank in river, returning by left bank.
Unless otherwise stated all taken near station between 11 Am & 12-30 noon. 11.0 AM till 3.0 pm.

Megachile willughbiella [[female symbol]] at Avondale bridge.

[No [[underlined]] C. aphidum [[/underlined]] taken, but possibly one seen at top of cliff outside tunnel near station, where Goat Willow on which it was previously taken has been carried away by a land-slide into rivers.]
